Background Checks for FSP Profile Changes

By its power in terms of section 8 of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002, the FSCA will be requiring MIE Checks as part of FSP profile changes and license applications for the registration of key individuals, directors, shareholders, trustees, and/or ultimate beneficial owners. This requirement will include completion of the MIE Processing Notification form, submission of supporting documentation, and subsequent bookings for fingerprints to be taken at an MIE office of the applicant’s choice. MIE. There is currently no cost to the applicants other than the relevant applicable licensing fees.
